I am an American, married to a Dane, who has lived, worked and loved Copenhagen for over 30 years! I believe in integration into society and believe me; the Danes are a great bunch to get to know.
Let me help you meet and understand these beautiful people, share the welcoming city and surroundings from a personal perspective. I guide in both English and Danish so you can rely on understanding all the messages there are to pick up on in this vibrant town.
Culture is my thing which includes traditional museums, concerts, theater, and exhibits- but here culture is also expressed via food, design, architecture, and the beat on the street. Let's get going!
When I first arrived from the greater New York area, I thought Copenhagen was going to be a delight. We have everything here! Great theater and ballet with costumes designed by HRH the Queen, a magnificent opera in an award-winning venue. There are several Michelin rated restaurants, and fun, funky districts which have their creative profiles. I felt all my senses being stimulated. It is a town that re-invents itself on a regular basis, just like me! Why not try new things? Explore, touch, feel, and move.
I can help you feel the excitement, or relax with a good cup of something yummy and people watch. Downtime is good too, and of course, the Danes have "HYGGE". It is a must try when here. I love finding a cozy spot to reflect, relax, and rejuvenate. Have a good conversation on anything. Danes are open, innovative, internationally oriented, and ready to welcome you; as I am too.
